Duke Nukem Forever, also known as Duke Nukem 4Ever, was an abandoned platformer game in the Duke Nukem series. The game was planned to draw inspiration from Duke Nukem I and Duke Nukem II, both of which were platformers, while retaining the interactivity and character that made the series popular in Duke Nukem 3D.
Despite Duke Nukem Forever's cancellation, considerable information about the game's storyline and gameplay was shared with the public. The game was reported to have four multiplayer modes: Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, a wave-based survival mode ("Trial of Strength"), and a racing simulation ("Trial of Agility").
Duke Nukem Forever entered development shortly after the release of Duke Nukem 3D, until 3D Realms ultimately canceled it. The game’s cancellation wasn’t publicly announced until 1997, when 3D Realms announced that the game's title would be reused for their sequel to Duke Nukem 3D.
After the project was abandoned, Duke Nukem Forever's game engine was incorporated into Ravager, another game that was being developed by 3D Realms. However, Ravager was sold to Inner Circle Creations, who renamed and released the title as Alien Rampage in 1996.

NO PLAYABLE!
Friend, I run the "game" here in the internet browser and I can't run much more than face the "mountain"...I discover some Duke "functions" (like jetpack, jetsky, thermalision, "ghost" and a Editor running direct into the "game") pressing various keys... the Duke movements works via mouse pressing right buttom, jump with "alt"... I downloaded the files, made a big turn around copying/pasting/downloading outside the files in the folders in the internet dll files, something different "show", two scenarios and monsters... in the "Patched" "Build" folders but nothing playable... Is this correct?
